Also – the arrow pointing to the left of my link above was to signify a hidden message in my profile pictures, which I enjoy changing every so often. Knowing how much our Bard likes imagery, I decided to put together a collage depicting our song so far, but this somewhat spilled over into my own untold story, as – (talk about great but weird and coming full circle) – I’m obliged to be living back in my childhood home for the last year and a half. I started by making a snow angel (haven’t done that in years!) and rimmed it with sand instead of pee for obvious reasons – to incorporate the Sandman, as well as to not make a spectacle out of myself. I then rummaged through the basement finding all sorts of pertinent things for the collage, and each find seemed to give more depth and clarity to my endeavor. Although there were more photos of the evolving collage, (mostly humorous ones) in the end when the box was empty, everything was just a pile of rubble ouside the snow angel with only an empty card left inside, because some words are not disposable, whether you want them to be or not.

Hamish – That was overly cryptic of me – the one ping itself is a sign of acknowledgement of a message received – but the entire scene from “The Hunt For Red October” has multiple meanings that can apply here – first, it’s about an attempt by the Russians (Santa?) to solve their problem (of finding a way to freedom/happiness) with the Americans’ (Rabbit’s?) help – but my favorite thing about it is that it’s about hunting and being hunted, and its just a great scene to picture if one is startled or surprised, especially if it results in a feeling of unease – all of these things are reflected in your line – also just looking through a periscope is about trying to see or find something
