I like the first line “things that I can”t explain”. And “everything’s changed” and so is “nothing’s the same” Both people (mom and son) could say those words. I feel like the “nothing’s the same” is the same thing as “everything’s changed”. One or the other would be best to my thinking. I ‘d look at both and see what feels the most emotional out of the two and then use the real estate of the next line to build something even more emotionL. Good work!
