Impossible Kings

Impossible Kings are a New York City based alternative indie band, with elements of pop and soul. The brainchild of Brendon Hamilton and Terry Derkach. Their writing style and influences come from an amalgam of and give nods to visionary artists David Bowie, Peter Gabriel, David Byrne, Marvin Gaye as well as Radiohead, Depeche Mode.

Brendon's influences range from Motown to Pearl Jam, The Cure to Prince, Phil Collins to Depeche Mode. His sometimes soaring, sometimes vulnerable and always emotional performance of well written, thoughtful, human experience lyrics puts him in the category of the world's top vocalists. His stellar harmonies and arrangements are a key component to the band's sound.

Terry is a producer, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, recording/mixing engineer and co-founder of Hookist.com. Always striving to respect the art of songwriting comes from his love of The Beatles, Motown and classic singer/songwriters, who could sit by a piano or pickup a guitar and perform thought provoking, meaningful lyrics with ear-worm melodies. His instrumental performances and sonic production complete the Impossible Kings' sound.

They have assembled a group of exemplary musicians to showcase their material both on stage and in the studio with a 2022 tour in the works as well as several releases in the coming months.
