ABOUT ME

Donna Opfer is a classically-trained pianist who began writing songs at age 10, teaching piano lessons at age 12, and singing professionally at 18, in St. Louis, Missouri. Her original music can be heard in theater productions, videos, radio stations in the US and abroad, cable TV, and clubs, including the famous Bluebird Café in Nashville.

She produced and performed in a quarterly songwriters show at Off Broadway, a club in St. Louis, for almost five years. She’s been the Regional Workshop Coordinator for the St. Louis Chapter of the Nashville Songwriter’s Association International (NSAI) since 1998. Donna makes frequent trips to Nashville to record demos, co-write, attend songwriting workshops, perform, and network with industry professionals. Her songs are available in many music catalogues, including NBC. Song placed in documentary in 2013.

She’s had about 50 independent cuts, including a song that received 300,000 hits on YouTube. Public performances include radio stations (including Nashville WSM), various cable TV shows, nursing school graduation ceremonies, and original musical productions in St. Louis, MO. Her song lyrics were recently published in a book. Several songs have been placed in photographic slide show productions. Recent cuts in Belgium, Sweden, and Australia.
